Legs & Co. – Off the Wall

Top of the Pops 6 December 1979: Legs & Co. dance to Michael Jackson’s Off the Wall

This routine has become infamous for the (mis)behaviour of two over-enthusiastic audience members: the wildly over-the-top geezer in the red v-neck pullover, grinning and clapping away (to his own beat, never mind the music) is most obvious. But there’s also the guy who manages to fall off his seat as the camera swings by behind him.

Also spot the mistake at the end, as old out-of touch Mister Bates introduces hip-hop masterpiece “Rapper’s Delight” as “The Rapper”. Doh!

Thanks to Andeebee for the YouTube post.

Great song from MJ,and my second favourite by him. What a wonderful sexy and rhythmic dance routine this is by Legs and Co.Love the Leather jackets, and the sequin like bottoms as it kind of goes with the song cleverly so.Sue and Patti win this for me,”what a surprise”!Thanks for posting. Benja 🙂
