Here’s a Legs & Co. routine that’s a sublime mixture of silly and strange: Lulu, Patti & Pauline are in drag, in short-trousered suits and fedoras, looking like moustachioed British Empire minor officials: with their brides (Gill, Rosie & Sue) still in their bridal veils and fancy wedding underwear, they’ve started the divorce already. Love this song, and Legs dance and act this routine so well. One of my favourites. A real treat to see Sue dancing always, especially in a Nightie with a pair of tights and a wedding day garter on, I love it! Nice post, and lovely to see again after all these years. Thanks! Benja 🙂

Some other points that I missed in my original comments:
Everyone seems to be throughly enjoying the great mugging opportunity this performance offers.
My favourite “literal” moment is the brides’ traditional screwy gesture from 1’22” to 1’25” for “All this love is now so crazy”.
Since the “brides” are in high heels, they’re all noticeably taller than the “grooms” in their flats, adding an extra touch of pathos to their pantomimed rejection.
Finally, it’s usually considered ungallant to suggest a woman resembles a man, but I think we all make an exception for Johnny Depp, who’s considered such an attractive fellow, by both men and women. So I’m (fairly) confident that Patti will understand, when I point out how much she resembles him here, that it’s meant as a compliment. Gulp.
