TOTP 20 November 1980 Legs & Co dance to Diana Ross’s I’m Coming Out
From the old blog, Friday 3 April 2009:
Legs and Co. on TOTP, dancing to Diana Ross’s I’m Coming Out. Pinching a prop gag shamelessly from The Benny Hill show at 0:50. Introduced by the Hairy Cornplaster.
TOTP 18th November 1976: Legs & Co. dance to Do You Feel Like We Do? by Peter Frampton.
From the old blog, Monday, 4 February 2013:
Another great lost routine found again, thanks to panspeople.com: Legs & Co. dancing to Peter Frampton’s Do You Feel Like We Do? from Top of the Pops, Thursday 18th November 1976.
Not a full performance, admittedly, but a good chunk of a routine we’d otherwise never see at all: so thanks to Flight14 over on panspeople.com, and of course the original YouTube poster.
TOTP 4th November 1976: Legs & Co dance to the Steve Miller Band’s Rock’N’Me.
From the old blog: Friday, 1 October 2010
Early Legs & Co dancing to the Steve Miller Band’s Rock’N’Me. So early that they haven’t even officially been named yet: at the start of this clip. Noel E talks about the naming competition.
Meanwhile, the new BBC technician’s apprentice, distracted by the skimpyness of the girls’ outfits, has obviously dropped far too much dry ice into his bucket of water, causing everyone to be engulfed in billowing clouds of carbon dioxide.
TOTP 2nd November 1978: Legs & Co. dance to Elton John’s Part-Time Love.
From the old blog, Saturday, 2 November 2013:
I’ve posted this routine before: we should have being treated to a nice sharp BBC4 digital version of the performance right around now, since the ongoing Top of the Pops repeats have reached November 1978. But since the Daily Mail won’t countenance any appearance from disgraced presenters, we’ll have to make do with my old grainy VHS-taped UK Gold version.
Tiswas, 1 November 1980: Legs & Co. take part in the Flan Flinger Challenge.
Wearing the outfits from their TOTP It’s Still Rock & Roll To Me routine, Legs & Co. sporting allow themselves to be cheated and humiliated on ITV’s anarchic alternative to the BBC’s Saturday morning “Swap Shop”.
For those of you too young to remember 1980, being flanned by the Phantom Flan Flinger on Tiswas was the hippest thing a celebrity could do, in those simple, far-off days.
I’ve no idea if our heroines appeared elsewhere in this episode, perhaps performing. If anyone out there has the full episode, can they help out here?
TOTP 30 October 1980: Legs & Co. dance to Fashion by David Bowie.
From the old blog, Friday, 22 October 2010:
PattiforPM’s generous donations keep coming: here’s Legs & Co. dancing to David Bowie’s Fashion, from that strange early eighties period when Top of the Pops’ producers felt the need to dub party noises on top of the music. Thanks again to PattiforPM.
TOTP 28 October 1976: Legs & Co. dance to Lalo Schifrin’s Theme from “Jaws”.
Thanks to suefan for the YouTube post.
From the old blog, Monday, 31 October 2011:
More signs of my developing senility: I could have sworn I’d posted this clip long long ago. But when PattiforPM sent me a copy (pointing out that Ryan had requested it over on the discussion board) I searched the blog, and found nothing.
So here are Legs & Co (well not L&C yet: the clip starts with Tony Blankbrain giving out the postal address for the their naming competition) in wetsuits, dancing to Lalo Schifrin’s funked-up take on John Williams’ Jaws theme.

In the close-up YMG has used I’m not sure if Sue is afraid of the shark or has just seen the inaugural performance of that little known punk band the “Drooping Whatsits”. 2 November 2011 09:50

Good early routine for L&C. Tempting to swim along in my Speedos and save these frightened beauties but then they’d be even more afraid! I could introduce SueFan’s Punk band though.

Boo! Hiss!
My old One for the Dads blog was shut down by the Kopyright Kops. So here's a new one. Still showing performances from Legs & Co., Pan's People and Ruby Flipper, amongst others. But no more downloads. Sorry.
